There are few indulgences that I enjoy more than a Charlotte Tilbury spree, and this time it was the Limited Edition Hot Lips collection that lured me in. I swear, the rose gold packaging is like a glowing beacon in the distance leading me to salvation... I'm proud of the Charlotte Tilbury collection I have amassed over the last few years - the result of several paydays, birthdays, and christmases - and in honour of my most recent purchase I have written a bit about each of the lipsticks I own, wear, and love.
From left to right: Kim KW | Glastonberry | Very Victoria | Nude Kate
My most recent splurge was on a Hot Lips matte lipstick in Kim KW (note: this purchase does not reflect any emotional or spiritual feelings I have towards said person, just that she has great taste in lipstick). It's a beautiful, subtle matte nude lipstick with just the smallest hint of pale pink, something I have been after for a while to contrast the two nudes I also have. Also, the engraved pout is enough to win me over.
I purchased Glastonberry on a whim last year. It's a deep purple shade that ticks all of the 'vamp lips' boxes, which glides on like a dream and has great staying power - essential for bold lipstick colours. Sadly I think I've only worn it once, but that's just because for a pale blonde like me it makes me stick out like a sore thumb. Something I absolutely need to get over so that I can wear this beauty more!
Very Victoria and Nude Kate are probably the most wearable lipsticks in the world. Both nudes, the former darker than the latter, they are the ultimate item to keep in your bag for any occasion, any outfit and any season. I find I wear Very Victoria more because Nude Kate does channel that 'foundation lips' vibe (there is a time and place), but I would recommend both as a safe starting point for anyone.
I was doubly naughty in my most recent spree as not only did I buy a lipstick, but I also bought a lipgloss that I have had my eye on for far too long: Lip Lustre in Blondie. It's a pale pink shimmery gloss that sits absolutely perfectly on top of both Kim KW and Nude Kate, perfect for those with paler skin tones like myself. And seriously, just look how pretty!!!
What Charlotte Tilbury products do you own? And if you don't, then why the hell don't you?!
